Admissions FAQ
-
Will MCATs scores be required to apply?
Due to the impact of COVID-19, the unavailability of testing centers, and other factors, AUA is waiving the MCAT requirement for US students applying to the upcoming August 2022 (Fall) term. This decision was made based on previous guidance issued by the U.S. Department of Education. No decision has yet been made regarding MCAT requirements for future terms at AUA beyond Fall 2022.
If you have taken the MCAT, please submit your MCAT results with your application. Though the score will not have any bearing on your chances of being admitted, a high score on the MCAT exam may qualify you for academic scholarships at AUA.

Will the August 2022 (fall) academic period be on campus?
Yes. Students are expected to join AUA faculty and staff, as well as fellow students, in person on our Preclinical Sciences campus in Antigua for the August 2022 (fall) academic period.

When should I submit my tuition deposit?

Will my admissions interviews be impacted by COVID-19?

What facilities will I have access to?

I’ve completed some of my undergraduate coursework virtually during the pandemic. Will this impact my chances of admission to AUA?
Many students have had to finish their undergraduate course work virtually due to COVID-19. As long as credits are from an AUA-recognized and accredited institution, they will be accepted.

My external exams were cancelled or postponed. Will AUA deadlines become more flexible as a result of COVID-19 disruptions? Will this impact my application review and decision on acceptance?
AUA Admissions understands the disruptions that the pandemic has caused with external exams. We’re working very closely with the AUA Admissions Committee and will review each testing situation on a case-by-case basis. Currently, application reviews and decision acceptances are on track.
